The training courses are intended for individuals who, as part of their professional activities, operate a forklift and/or work in the field of load securing—or who plan to do so in the future and require the appropriate certification.

Degree and Driver's License or Certificate in “Load Securing”

Just like the continuing education course on load securing, the driver training program concludes with a theoretical and practical exam and the issuance of a certificate and a credit-card-sized driver's license.

Costs

If you meet the eligibility requirements, the Jobcenter or Employment Agency responsible for you will cover the course fees. Your case worker will be happy to advise you. Venues

CW-B, Georgstraße 2 in Detmold, as well as “In House” (You must have the appropriate loading equipment and/or vehicles available at your company; these are required and must be provided by you). We will provide the training materials.

Continuing Education Course: “Industrial Truck Operator Training” (Forklift Training in Accordance with DGUV 308-001)

Legal Basis

The theoretical portion of the training is governed by the legal provisions of DGUV Regulation 68, while the practical portion is governed by DGUV Guideline 308-001.

Theoretical Content

In the theoretical portion of the training, you will learn everything about legal principles, the types and functions of industrial trucks and attachments, the day-to-day operation of forklifts, drive systems for industrial trucks, operation and inspections, handling loads and the load chart, hazard areas, traffic regulations, and, of course, you will receive intensive preparation for the final theoretical exam.

Practical Training

You’ll learn how to operate a forklift through a variety of hands-on driving and stacking exercises, ranging from the daily pre-use inspection to the correct
parking and exiting the vehicle—as well as intensive preparation for the final practical exam.

Time Frame

General Education

• No prior driving experience required: Duration: 3 days (3–15 participants)
• For those with prior driving experience: Duration: 2 days (3–10 participants)
• Annual training: Duration: 0.5 days (3–15 participants)

Continuing Education Course “LaSi – Load Securing” in accordance with VDI 2700 et seq.

The theoretical portion of the training is governed by the legal provisions set forth in VDI 2700 et seq.

Theoretical Content

In addition to the legal framework, laws, and guidelines, you’ll learn everything you need to know about the fundamentals of physics, the different methods of load securing, load distribution, requirements for the transport vehicle, determining the necessary securing forces, lashing equipment for load securing (requirements and suitability for use), as well as specific considerations for different types of cargo. Of course, you’ll also receive intensive preparation for the theoretical exam.

Practical Training

In the practical sessions, we’ll work with you to develop the correct loading instructions and transport preparations; you’ll carry out hands-on exercises in loading and securing cargo, as well as inspecting the transport vehicle, the vehicle body, and the cargo securing. Of course, we’ll also thoroughly prepare you for the practical exam.

• Annual training: Duration: 0.5 days (3–15 participants)
